COVID Policies & Procedures

Updated September 22, 2022

For over 10 years, Unbridled Retreats and Beyond the Arena, LLC have been committed to creating exceptional retreats for horse-lovers like you. We have proudly continued to be a safe haven in the midst of these unprecedented times, and it is our intention to continue serving our guests throughout our scheduled retreats in 2022 and 2023.

Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our retreat participants and the staff who cares for them. In response to this ever changing crisis, we have updated our health and safety protocols, booking, and cancellation policies.

This situation is fluid, and as it evolves, so will our response. We’ll continue to be in touch and provide updates as they become available. We appreciate your trust in us, and are available to work through individual situations as they arise. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, and we will work together to find a solution.

We Will Run All Scheduled 2022 and 2023 Retreats And Beyond, Unless Travel Restrictions Are Reinstated

We are planning to proceed with all scheduled retreats in 2022 and 2023. We continue to monitor all travel and health advisories and will do our best to reach out to participants booked on each retreat as we learn more about restrictions impacting travel. Additionally, we will continue to review our internal policies as the situation evolves.

Our deposit, payment, and cancellation policies are designed to support everyone’s needs: our retreat attendees, our ranch and resort partners, and our staff and retreat infrastructure. We have worked hard to identify where we can relax those policies while upholding the integrity of these relationships and commitments.

Please note we reserve the right to change these policies without prior notice. We appreciate your understanding during this unpredictable and unprecedented time.

Is Vaccination Required To Participate?

The recent surge in Covid infections has prompted us to update our health and safety protocols. Out of an abundance of caution, Unbridled Retreats is requiring all 2022 and 2023 retreat participants to be fully vaccinated.

We define “fully vaccinated” as having received two doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, two doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

If you were recently diagnosed and recovered from Covid-19, you will need to provide a doctor’s note stating that you are no longer contagious and are medically cleared to travel or photo proof of a negative COVID test (at-home is fine) taken within 48 hours of the retreat start date.

Although we recommend getting a booster shot for added protection, it is not required at this time. To keep up-to-date with the current CDC Guidelines, please click here.

These protocols enable us to maintain our safe container of wellbeing and will allow us to focus on what you signed up for – a transformative experience with horses in a healthy, stress-free environment.

Should I Get Travel Insurance?

We highly recommend you get travel insurance within 14 days of booking your retreat. Travel insurance may cover your retreat in the event you are unable to travel due to certain circumstances and have to cancel your retreat. Unbridled Retreats is not responsible for any non-refundable losses you may incur as a result of changing your travel plans or we have to cancel the retreat due to travel restrictions.

What Happens If My Retreat Can’t Proceed Due To Travel Restrictions?

If Unbridled Retreats is forced to cancel or postpone a retreat due to travel restrictions, we will offer a transfer to another retreat. Unbridled Retreats cannot be held responsible for any personal expenses, such as airline tickets, due to changes in itineraries or retreat cancellations.

What If I Get Sick And Must Quarantine?

We will follow policies and advice of the local authorities and will assist you as much as possible. Please note that Unbridled Retreats is not responsible for additional costs due to quarantines and/or medical sickness. Again, we highly recommend getting Travel Insurance to help address additional costs that may incur as a result of sickness and mandatory quarantine.

What If I’m Booked On A Retreat But Don’t Want To Travel?

Our normal cancellation policy applies.
